ABOUT ME
The truth is, there’s a lot of misinformation out there. Making the shift to nutrient-dense food can be confusing for a lot of us. That’s why I am passionate about my mission to help others optimize their health and navigate all the nutrition information bombarding us daily. I’ll teach you how to read labels, how to shop, and how to make better food choices for you and your family.
This is a journey that begins with one health-promoting step at a time. I'm here to support you and teach you how to navigate what works best for YOU. I will aim to empower you to make lasting changes so that you and your family can live your healthiest lives. I believe in bio-individuality, and feel that it is so important to approach each person by first addressing 5 foundations: digestion, hydration, blood sugar balance, fatty acid balance, and vitamin-mineral balance. I believe that it is important to meet people where they are in their health journeys, and offer support every step of the way.
MY APPROACH
I provide education on:
Grocery shopping (label and ingredient reading, meal building)
The importance of eating whole, properly prepared, nutrient-dense food
Mindset
Time management
Foundations of health: digestion, hydration, blood sugar balance, fatty acid balance, and vitamin/mineral balance.
Autoimmune conditions and nutrition protocols
Getting the kids and/or family to join in
Finding a health-promoting way of eating that specifically works for you (it’s definitely not “one size fits all”!). By using a gentle and understanding approach, I help others to embrace real food and get back to eating what our ancestors ate. I help them realize that it doesn’t have to be complicated. We work on creating new habits, shifting mindset, and making small, sustainable changes that eventually lead to big things!
My background in social work has helped me to develop the skills needed to help my clients evolve their mindset when it comes to food and wellness, and tap into motivational factors that will help them to make more health promoting choices. My experience as a parent has given me empathy and understanding with my clients trying to make healthy choices for themselves and the family. My education in nutritional therapy, subsequent nutrition courses, practitioner experience, and certifications have given me the knowledge to help you and your family thrive and optimize health! If my family can do it, your family can do it too!

MY BACKGROUND
From a very young age, I was a helper. I knew that whatever I ended up doing in life as an adult, it was going to have to do with helping others gain the skills and confidence they needed in order to master whatever it was that they were struggling with. I graduated from Frostburg State University with a bachelor’s in Sociology, and then went on to earn my master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland School of Social Work. After graduating, I decided to take a couple of years and travel around the world. This was a life-changing experience, and led to a higher level of curiosity and learning (particuIarly related to wellness). Soon after, I started my career working with at-risk youth in Montgomery County, MD, who were struggling in school with both behavioral and academic challenges.
I discovered my passion for nutrition shortly after my first child was born, when I started to become more mindful of what we were eating as a family. As time went on, I jumped at any opportunity to learn more about nutrition and wellness. I took classes, read books, researched, experimented. I began making big changes in the kitchen and in what I was buying at the grocery store. I learned about ingredients and how to read labels. My husband and I started to experience positive changes in our own health: boosts in energy, clearer skin, weight loss, and more. My husband who had been suffering from weekly debilitating migraines for years, was for the first time pain-free. This was a huge selling point for him, lol. There was no going back. I started to share the information I’d learned about nutrition with my close circle and quickly became the go-to for nutrition information in my community.
I made the choice to become certified through the Nutritional Therapy Association so that I could help others who wanted to make better food choices for themselves and their families. I received my certificate in 2018 as a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, and in 2019 I opened my business, Jaime Brooke Wellness, LLC.
I currently provide nutrition coaching services for my community in Howard County, Maryland, meeting clients in person and online. I also work with clients virtually that live all around the United States. I love taking part in community wellness events, being able offer nutrition-themed cooking classes at a local farm, and teaching others about the positive impact that real, whole, nutrient-dense food (and other lifestyle tweaks) have on our daily lives and health. I also love teaching The Restart® Program, which is an empowering combo of nutritional education, a 3-week anti-inflammatory protocol, and support group.
I live with my two funny, sweet, adventurous children and I am married to my best friend of over 20 years. When I’m not meeting clients, I’m spending time with family, cooking, or reading. I also love Crossfit, and being outdoors.
